Members Popular Post Ma**** Posted November 27, 2019 Members Popular Post Posted November 27, 2019 (edited) Does anyone else suffer from fibromyalgia? I have it and although I’m stubborn and push myself to continue to live a normal life, I find that people are never very supportive, understanding or empathetic. I know I have a very high pain threshold but people are so dismissive and try to make you feel like a hypochondriac. I have so much empathy for others and always try to help other people any way I can, so maybe that’s why it upsets me so much but I know I’m not on my own of fibromyalgia sufferers, who feel this way. I'm always thinking of and looking after other people and there is never anyone that seems to care whenever I’m ill or I feel like crap. I’m so proud of myself for managing to still work full time and carry on as normal, although at times it can be hard, but then people’s lack of care make me feel useless sometimes. Members Popular Post Fo**** Posted November 27, 2019 Members Popular Post Posted November 27, 2019 Hey there Yes i have it and everything you have said is so true. I think we push ourselves because we still want to feel like the person we were before being diagnosed, as well as people saying 'But you don't look sick'. Do things on good days but be gentle on yourself on the bad days. People need to realise we are still us inside, it's just we have bigger walls to face each day than everyone else Xx Quote
Members Ma**** Posted November 28, 2019 Author Members Posted November 28, 2019 Hi, fellow fibromyalgia warrior, Only us who have it can understand how bad it is. Sometimes my mind just goes completely blank and will stop me from being able to think or count or remember things. It’s terrible! My work won’t allow me to be gentle to myself on hard days ?. I won’t call in sick on bad days because I don’t like to let people down and I won’t complain about it or say I can’t do something. I don’t like to ask for help. It seems I look after everyone but myself. xXx
Moderator Popular Post Julius Posted November 28, 2019 Moderator Popular Post Posted November 28, 2019 Hi @Maltija85, I noticed your other post on IBS and thought about the correlation to fibromyalgia regarding the disbiosys of your gut microbiome. A quick research lead me to believe that both issues are related: https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/325535.php#1 https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2019/06/190620100043.htm https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/31219947 I dont wanna sound overly excited, but having had issues with mild IBS for a long time, I know that the composition of your gut bacteria aka gut microbiome is not a fixed thing, but can change over time. Many scientific papers are indicating that your smyptoms are most likely are result of composition of your gut bacteria. This composition is by no means a fixed thing, but change every hour and day based on your lifestyle and dietary choices. To certain degree, you have been set up for life based on the way you were born (c-section/natural). whether you were fed with breastmilk, where you grew up (country-side/ city), or whether you had a traumatizing childhood or received lots of antibiotics in the last years, but even with many such disturbances to your microbiome, it still has the ability to recover and return to a healthy and normal state with proper care. I would highly encourage you to buy a book or two on the gut microbiome and start reading online to learn what you can do to improve it. It is possible to restore a healthy level. I am quite optimistic that you can achieve a life where your symptoms are drastically decreased to a level that wont inhibit you from taking part in an active social life If you are interested I will write a bit more on my journey and some tips here later? Members Guest User Posted November 28, 2019 Members Posted November 28, 2019 My mum has it. She pushes herself way too hard too. And when she gets a slight cold it will knock her down for days more than normal. But she will still persevere. Although I don't know how people with it cope, I can empathize
Moderator Tine Posted November 28, 2019 Moderator Posted November 28, 2019 Just recently I talked to a woman who said this "The usual suspect for fibromyralgia is someone who pushes through their personal limits continuously with no time to recover to support others." However I am not knowledgebale about it, how it's caused and such. I found this quote interessting because it also described my mum well who suffered from Polymyalgia rheumatica PMR for 10 years.

Members Popular Post JE**** Posted December 14, 2019 Members Popular Post Posted December 14, 2019 (edited) Hola! Interestingly I know the moment of pushing too well and know that many Fibros have that pushing idea in their heads. In yoga we try to bring this down to relaxation in movement. Still movement is super important. Pushing yourself into something that you are not will always make you feel hurt (especially with a certain belief system). As well Fibro can be part of a pain causing trauma that was never released, the soul cries, is pain and it grows through the body (a from of rheumatism). The Mediacl Medium (Anthony William) taks about a version of an EBV (Epstein-Barr Virus). And I can find a balance in that. Maybe Spirit finds is way in the expression of pain in this way: "Hey, wake up, you have an emotional pain!" Why is it so difficult to find out or find? Usually the white blood cells are in slightly higher numbers. The docs say: "Oh, yeah, you might had..." So they don't look for more. Then they check physical structures and find something evidences that coudl agree to one thing: Fibro. But there is no real test giving you the result. Williams says that only one type of EBV is really known but there are 60! And one would make you feeling the Fibro. So, I guess people have to dive into the inner wisdom. Obviously there is a something stuck (trauma, emotion, intruder, occupation, virus). A good alternative healer could read that through Kinesiology, Acupuncture, Reiki etc. or (a good!!!) maestro/curandero/shaman can help through it. Find out what bothers you in your life, what is holding you back, what sits on your heart and creates pain in your emotional or spiritual body - and all immunsystem-symptoms etc. will align because these are symptoms telling you where you have to look at. Joe Dispenza says it so nice: We can not change matter with matter. That goes back to a saying of Einstein: You can not solve the problem your have created with the same mind-set. Mind-thought-waves are matter. Change is needed. https://soundcloud.com/medicalmedium/epstein-barr-virus-revealed Edited December 14, 2019 by JEngeleiter
Members Guest User Posted December 17, 2019 Members Posted December 17, 2019 Your bravery will not go unnoticed. Often times we can't see the reason behind the suffering....but rest assured what doesn't kill us makes us stronger, usually in preparation for something we could never have imagined. Hang in there and keep helping :-)
Members Guest User Posted December 17, 2019 Members Posted December 17, 2019 There are also many eating habits that cause these pains and would be happy to discuss :-)
