Casa Verde is a non-profit association created by Isabel Lozoya Rocha in 1997, based in the Barcelona neighbourhood of Guinardó. Its initial objective was based on educational research for intercultural education in schools, street performances and civic centres. Over the years, Casa Verde has developed into a range of actions within the social cohesion framework as a fundamental value, focusing on the parameters of peace, nature, and respect for life. Today, Casa Verde is a beautiful place for people to connect with music, yoga, meditation, healthy eating and more.
Casa Verde offers weekly activities of yoga, Kirtan Wednesdays, Mantra sessions, healthy eating workshops, a weekly Shiva ceremony, and Ayurveda therapy sessions. Kundalini yoga classes are available at Casa Verde every Monday at 21:00 and every Thursday at 19:30 for 90 minutes at the cost of €10 per class.
On Wednesdays, Casa Verde celebrates with kirtans and concerts. The programme starts at 18:30 with tea and an elaboration by Prasad, followed by live kirtan music at 19:30, and then a fresh organic dinner in the Casa Verde garden at 21:00. Kirtan Wednesday is a unique event that is celebrated with the presence of those who join. Contribution to this event is €10 per person. Also on a Wednesday, from 12:30 to 15:00, Casa Verde's Tatiana offers cooking classes in which participants can learn to cook delicious vegan and vegetarian dishes for just €5 per session.
The Shiva ceremony happens on Mondays at 20:00, where Shiva is blessed with a Puja ceremony that is free and open to everyone. Besides that, Casa Verde offers so many other immersive experiences that include sound baths, medicinal and cacao ceremonies, shamanic journies, and group meditation session.
All events are bookable online via the Casa Verde website, or by checking their Facebook page, which is regularly updated and full of info and upcoming events.
